What to Consider When Choosing Your Wedding Date
Selecting your wedding date is one of the first big decisions you'll make during your planning journey, and it sets the tone for the entire event. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing at weddings in every season, and I’ve gathered some insights to help you choose a date that feels perfect for you as a couple.

Is There a Special Date or Season You Have in Mind?
Start by considering if there’s a specific time of year that holds meaning for you. Perhaps there’s a particular date, anniversary, or season that resonates with your love story. If not, it’s worth reflecting on what you envision for your wedding day—especially when it comes to the backdrop of your photographs.
Autumn: Picture crisp autumnal hues—rich reds, burnt oranges, and golden yellows—creating a stunning natural confetti on the ground.
Winter: If you love the festive charm of colder months, winter might be the ideal season for your celebration.
Spring: Imagine blossoms on the trees and blooms of fresh flowers all around. Springtime is perfect for a romantic, floral-inspired wedding.
Summer: Dreaming of an outdoor wedding bathed in sunshine? Summer could be the best fit.

Keep in mind that the UK’s weather can be unpredictable year-round, so having a contingency plan for rain is always a good idea.

Considering Supplier Availability and Demand
Wedding season, typically from May through September, is the most popular time of year for couples to tie the knot in the UK. While this period offers beautiful weather and abundant options for outdoor celebrations, it can also come with increased demand for venues and suppliers.

Here are some things to keep in mind about wedding season:
Pricing: Some suppliers and venues may charge higher rates during peak months due to demand. However, my pricing remains consistent throughout the year, regardless of the season.
Availability: Popular dates book quickly, so it’s wise to secure your key suppliers early.

Exploring Popular Wedding Months
Each season offers its own unique charm, and there’s no “best” month to get married—it’s all about what feels right for you. To give you a sense of what other couples choose, here’s a breakdown of the most popular months based on recent trends:
August and September: These tied as the most popular months for weddings, with warm weather and beautiful late-summer vibes.
July and October: July offers peak summer conditions, while October brings the romance of autumn leaves and seasonal touches like pumpkins and cozy decor.
June: As a classic early-summer month, June remains a favorite for outdoor celebrations.
Interestingly, autumn weddings have grown in popularity post-pandemic, thanks to slightly lower venue costs, milder weather, and the stunning seasonal scenery.

So, When’s the Big Day?
Ultimately, the best time to get married is whenever feels right for you as a couple. Whether you’re drawn to the warmth of summer, the vibrancy of autumn, or the cozy charm of winter, every season offers opportunities to create unforgettable memories.
I’d love to hear all about your wedding plans and help make your special day even more magical with live music tailored to your vision.
