Behind the Scenes with Serenity String Duo: Our Elegant Photoshoot Experience

Back in February 2022, we had the pleasure of stepping in front of the camera for a beautifully styled photoshoot with the incredibly talented Neil Watson Photography. As Serenity String Duo, made up of myself (Laura) and my wonderful duo partner Katja, it was such a treat to showcase our style and musical partnership in a new visual way.

With an upcoming feature and advert in the August 2022 edition of Weddings and Honeymoons Magazine, we knew this photoshoot would be something special—and it didn’t disappoint. It was the perfect opportunity to reflect our brand: elegant, timeless, and harmonious.

The Vision & Setting

Neil Watson, a long-time family friend, brought a clear creative vision to the shoot. We felt completely at ease as he guided us through both indoor and outdoor scenes at a stunning Georgian building in Bath, UK. Despite a blustery breeze, we were blessed with beautiful natural light that added warmth and magic to the images.

Styling & Colours

We chose a refined, complementary colour palette:

• Classic Black: Timeless and sophisticated, perfect for indoor portraits.

• Rich Burgundy Red: Our matching BIBA dresses brought depth and vibrancy, especially striking against the architecture and soft winter light.

The elegant tones paired beautifully with the historic surroundings, allowing the focus to remain on the connection between us and our instruments—a visual representation of the music we create together.

Our Magazine Feature

This shoot marked our feature in Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine, August 2022 edition, in the "Let Me Entertain You" section (pages 79 & 80). We were honoured to be included among such inspiring wedding professionals, and thrilled to showcase Serenity String Duo to an audience that appreciates refined, romantic entertainment.

Why It Matters

As a luxury string duo, we believe visuals are just as powerful as sound in telling our story. From the way we present ourselves to the ambiance we create at every wedding, it all reflects our commitment to creating unforgettable musical moments for couples across the South West and beyond.
