Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how I prepare to make your event truly special.

Arriving Early

I always arrive at least 45 minutes before the event begins to ensure I have ample time to prepare. This early arrival allows me to familiarise myself with the venue, liaise with the event coordinator, and make any necessary adjustments to enhance the performance experience.

Assessing the Layout

After greeting the organiser or coordinator, I assess the performance space. Choosing the perfect position is essential—not only for the best acoustics but also to ensure the music flows effortlessly without disruption to your event.

Setting Up with Precision

Once the setup location is confirmed, I begin preparing my equipment. I carefully unpack my violin, music stand, iPad, foot pedals, and any necessary accessories. A quick sip of water keeps me refreshed and focused, ensuring I am completely ready to provide a flawless performance.

Tuning and Sound Check

A beautifully tuned violin is key to delivering the rich, elegant sound that will complement your event perfectly. I take great care in tuning my instrument and conducting a brief sound check, adjusting for the acoustics of the space to ensure the best possible experience for you and your guests.

Rehearsing Key Moments

With everything in place, I take a few moments to rehearse key pieces of music—especially those that hold significance for the event. Whether it’s a poignant entrance, a heartfelt toast, or a joyful celebration, I ensure every note is perfectly placed for the moment.

Quick Refreshments

Before the event begins, I take a brief moment to refresh myself. A sip of water, a deep breath, and a final mental check allow me to step into my performance with confidence and poise.

Seamless Transitions

Throughout the event, I remain flexible and attentive, seamlessly transitioning between different spaces if required. Whether I am moving from a welcome drinks reception to an intimate dinner setting, my priority is to ensure a smooth, elegant flow of music that enhances the atmosphere effortlessly.
